Early Black Bin Emptying on Tuesday 2nd June

Main Road Through Frilsham Closed

West Berkshire Council have notified us that the road from the junction of School Lane (outside Hatchets Gate), through the village, past the Clubroom, and all the way to the bottom of Coach Hill will be closed between the hours of 8am and 5pm on Tuesday 2nd June.

This is to allow "Hazel and Jefferies Surfacing Treatment" work to be carried out by Volker Highways on behalf of West Berkshire Council.

Because of the road closure, Veolia will be coming out early to collect the contents of your black wheelie bins before the road is closed.  So make sure your bin is out at the roadside early.

Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles at all times.

A diversion via Yattendon will be signposted.

Should the weather be wet or the road surface temperatures become very hot then the programme will be delayed until the next suitable working day.

The loose chippings will be swept up after a couple of days and any road markings replaced as soon as possible.

See map for more details.  (Select "Next two weeks" in the menu at the top right.)
