Charges for green waste collection
Charges for green waste collection from April 2018 are being proposed by West Berkshire Council in a consultation on its website. Under these proposals, WBC will introduce charges of around £50 per household for garden waste collection from 2018. Only subscribers to the service would be able to continue to use the green bin and will receive a bin sticker to show that the service has been paid for. The green bin can be put out with recycling every fortnight as currently happens.
